Easy Hors D'oeuvres

These would be great hot or cold, if you didn't want to toast the cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread, sliced
  • 1/4 pound salami or possibly pastrami
  • 1/2 pound Provolone or possibly Swiss cheese
  • 1 tomato, sliced thin

Directions

  1. Place bread slices, cut side down, on large cookie sheet.
  2. Place in oven at 350 degrees and toast top side of bread (approximately 5 min).
  3. Remove from oven and flip each piece of bread to toasted side down. Place a piece of meat (cut or folded to fit) on 1/2 of the bread slices. Place 1 slice of tomato on remaining slices.
  4. Put a piece of cheese on top of each.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 5 - 10 min until cheese is melted and bubbly.
