Chinese Brussel Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs brussel sporuts, cleaned
  • 2 large leeks, white and light green parts only, cleaned
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbs thai fish sauce
  • 2 tbs low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tbs sesame oil
  • 2 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tbs chinese five spice powder

Chinese Brussel Sprouts

Time: 10 minutes prep, 5 minutes cook
Servings: 6
 

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in the wok
  2. Thinly slice the leeks into half moons
  3. Shred the brussel sprouts
  4. Add the five spice powder to the heated oil, stirring until fragrant
  5. Add the brussel sprouts, leeks and mince garlic all at once
  6. Stir until the brussel sprouts and leeks start to soften
  7. Add the fish sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil
  8. Continue to stir until cooked through
  9. Serve warm
  10. If desired garnish with toasted sesame seeds
