Ingredients

  • FILLING:
  • 5 Granny Smith Apples - peeled and cored
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 4oz package soft caramels
  • TOPPING:
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 stick softened butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish. Spray with non stick cooking spray
  2. For the filling:
  3. Toss the apples with cinnamon, vanilla, apple cider and lemon juice together in a large bowl.
  4. Add to baking dish
  5. Unwrap caramels and place on top of apples.
  6. For the topping
  7. In a medium bowl mix oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  8. 8 . Add butter together with the oats, flour, brown sugar and cinnamon.
  9. Scatter the topping evenly over the apple mixture.
  10. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  11. Bake in over 45-60 minutes.
