Ingredients

  • 50 gm Fat (a generous 3 Tbsp)
  • 4 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1 1/2 quart Water Salt Pepper
  • 1 x Onion, minced Caraway seeds Seasoning herbs

Brennsuppe (Flour Soup)

Servings: 4
 

Directions

  1. Heat the fat, add in flour, and make a roux. Add in the minced onion. Add in the water, and season to taste with salt, caraway seeds and other seasoning herbs (e.g. thyme, savory, marjoram).
  2. Serves 4.
