Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients

  • One 15.5 ounce can black beans
  • 1/4 cup vegetable stock
  • 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs
  • one egg
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • dash of paprika
  • dash of chili powder
  • Lettuce, optional
  • tomato, optional
  • cheese, optional
  • 2-Rolls/Buns of your choice

Black Bean Burgers

Time: 8 minutes prep, 22 minutes cook
Servings: 2
 

Directions

  1. Drain and rinse black beans and place into a small saucepan, cook 10 minutes with 1/4 cup vegetable stock
  2. Drain again and smash beans well in a mixing bowl, add seasoned breadcrumbs, egg, all seasoning, with clean hands mix well and form two patties
  3. Place on a baking sheet pan, drizzle with olive oil and bake @ 425 F 12 minutes (flip at the halfway point)
