Beef Stroganoff (with buttered thick noodles)

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 pounds of sirloin steak (cut into thin strips)
  • 1/2 cup sliced White Button Mushrooms (or ones of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup beef stock (low sodium)
  • one teaspoon onion powder
  • one teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 ounces Thick Egg Noodles
  • butter for noodles (2-3 tablespoons)

Directions

  1. In a saute pan add butter and sliced mushrooms cook 2 minutes, and thin strips of sirloin steak cook for 4 minutes, stir on low heat, add beef stock and seasonings, cook 5 minutes, add sour cream stir well, simmer with a lid for 5 minutes.
  2. Boil egg noodles in salted water as per package instructions, drain add cooked buttered noodles on a plate, ladle stroganoff and devour!
