Banana Split Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz) pkg. banana creme pudding
  • 1 box butter cake mix
  • 1 c. chopped pineapple
  • 1/2-1 c. chopped maraschino cherries
  • 1/2-1 c. mini chocolate chips
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. butter flavor
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavor
  • 2-3 tsp. banana flavor
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 stick melted butter, unsalted
  • 1 c. all purpose flour

Directions

  1. In mixer, combine pudding mix and 2 cups cold water, according to package instructions. Beat until creamy.
  2. Add milk, shortening, butter, and flavor and mix util well blended.
  3. Add flour, sugar, eggs, and cake mix. Mix well but do ot overmix, leave a few lumps.
  4. Gently fold in pineapple, cherries, and chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into prepared pans.
  6. Bake 330* for 45 minutes for cake, 22-28 minutes for cupcakes, until pricked clean.
