Bacon Cream Steamed Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Fresh whole green beans (snip ends)
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons bacon fat
  • 1/4 cup scant light cream
  • one teaspoon corn starch

Bacon Cream Steamed Green Beans

Time: 3 minutes prep, 3 minutes cook
Servings: 4
 

Directions

  1. In a vegetable steamer add 1-1/4 cups Water, once boiling reduce heat, add green beans and cook 3 minutes, remove and drain any excess liquid
  2. In a sauce pan add bacon fat (once melted) on medium heat add light cream stirring the entire time, add corn starch (to thicken) and stir until creamy
  3. Pout over steamed green beans
  4. Enjoy!
