Texas Sheet Cake With Frosting

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 teaspoon cocoa
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 c. nuts, crushed or possibly minced
  • 1 stick butter
  • 4 T cocoa
  • 6 T lowfat milk
  • 1 box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Boil butter, water and cocoa. Remove from heat and add in flour, sugar, soda, lowfat sour cream and salt. Add in large eggs and nuts last.
  2. Bring butter, cocoa and lowfat milk to a boil. Remove from heat and add in powdered sugar and vanilla. Frost cake as soon as taken from oven, cool and cut into squares. Use large cookie sheet with sides (12"x18"). Bake 22 min. Yield: 40 squares.
