Magic Pan Orange Almond Salad

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. Almonds, slivered
  • 2 x Onions, green, minced
  • 1 x Lettuce, romaine
  • 1 c. Mandarin oranges, liquid removed 1
  • 1/2 c. Mushrooms, sliced (optional
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Tarragon, dry
  • 1/3 c. Oil, vegetable Salt & pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
  • 1 x Egg yolk

Magic Pan Orange Almond Salad

Servings: 6
 

Directions

  1. Shaking constantly, toast almonds in skillet over low heat until golden (about 5 min). Was and dry lettuce. Tear into bite size pcs.
  2. Place with green onions and mandarin oranges in large salad bowl. Dressing: Combine all ingredients but egg and vinegar, add thin stream and process until well blended.
  3. MAKES : 1 c.
  4. Just before serving, toss well. Leftover dressing keeps up to 1 week in fridge.

    This recipe is a mess, it doesn't even properly list the ingredients and it isn't the original recipe. The mushrooms would not be a good addition. I have a PDF of the original employee cooking guide from the Magic Pan. The dressing recipe is as follows
    DRESSING
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    salt and pepper
    1/2 tsp. dried tarragon
    dash of tabasco
    1/3 cup tarragon vinegar
    1 egg yolk
    3/4 cup veg. oil
    I've cooked/tasted this recipe!
