Ingredients

  • 1 lb Shredded cabbage, (3 1/2c.)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Shortening
  • 1 sm Onion, minced Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 lb Noodles (wide), about 2 c.

Directions

  1. Mix cabbage with salt and allow to stand 1/2 hour. Squeeze dry. Heat shortening in skillet and saute/fry cabbage onion, stirring occasionally till cabbage is lightly browned and tender. Season with salt and pepper. Cook noodles; drain. Mix noodles with cabbage, heat and serve.
