Ingredients

  • 1 pkt Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate cake
  • 5 Tbsp. All purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1 c. Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. Shortening
  • 1/2 c. Softened margarine
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 4 sqr unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 c. Evaporated lowfat milk
  • 6 Tbsp. Margarine
  • 2 3/4 c. Confectioners sugar

Directions

  1. Bake the cake by package directions in a large cookie sheet with sides for twenty min. Cold completely. Mix 1 1/4 c lowfat milk with 5 tbsp. flour ina saucepan.Cook till thick and set aside to cold. Mix granulated sugar with shortening, vanilla, and margarine. Beat in flour and lowfat milk and beat till smooth. Spread over cake and refrigeratein refrigerator. Heat unsweetened chocolate. Heat the evaporated lowfat milk and margarine to boiling point and when margarine is melted, add in to the chocolate. Beat in powdered sugar and pour over chilled cake frosted with white substance. Refrigerateand cut into squares.
  2. Tastes just like the Hostess snack would if it were fresh.
