Egg Batter

Ingredients

  • 4 x thin chicken, fish, steak, chops, or possibly veget cutlets/fillets/slices/stems
  • 2 lrg Large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. heavy cream
  • 1 tsp dry basil Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1 Tbsp. minced fresh parsley - (to 2)
  • 1/4 c. grated romano cheese sufficient to make a thick batter Oil to deep fry

Egg Batter

Servings: 2
 

Directions

  1. Mix all batter ingredients together till blended. Heat oil till very warm.
  2. Dip the item into the batter coating it well. Place battered items only a couple at a time into the warm oil and fry till completely cooked and the outside is golden. Drain on paper towels.
  3. This recipe yields 2 servings;
  4. Comments: Serve with either a red, or possibly butter-wine sauce. Or possibly try some fresh squeezed lemon juice and grated cheese.
  5. If you have extra batter leftover, drop by spoonfuls into the warm oil and fry for a delicious treat
