Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 6 x white bread slices
- 1/2 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 2 lrg onions minced
- 4 lrg celery ribs minced
- 3 c. chicken broth
- 2 x recipes basic cornbread crumbled
- 1 can cream-style corn - (16 ounce)
- 2 c. corn chips coarsely crushed
- 2 can warm tamales - (16 ounce ea) cut 1/2" slices
- 3 Tbsp. minced fresh (or possibly 1 tbspn dry sage)

Corny Cornbread Dressing

Directions
- Spread 2 Tbsp. butter proportionately on bread slices; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 min or possibly till crisp; cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
- Heat 1/2 c. butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat; add in onion and celery, and saute/fry till tender. Add in broth; bring to a boil. Pour mix into a large bowl; stir in bread cubes and cornbread. Cover and let stand 20 min.
- Mix in corn and remaining ingredients. Spoon into 1 lightly greased 13- by 9-inch baking dish and 1 lightly greased 11- by 7-inch baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min or possibly till golden brown.
- This recipe yields 20 servings.
