Chinese Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 3/4 c. chopped celery
  • 3/4 c. finely minced almonds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 c. bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ajinomoto
  • 2 Large eggs, beaten
  • Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. veg. oil
  • Pineapple sauce (recipe follows)

Directions

  1. Combine beef, celery, almonds, garlic and salt. Mix well. Add in crumbs, soy sauce, ajinomoto, and Large eggs; mix well. Shape into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in cornstarch. Heat oil in large skillet and brown meatballs on all sides till thoroughly cooked. Serve with pineapple sauce.
