Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine, Softened
- 1 c. Firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 lrg Large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 3 1/2 c. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 1 tsp Grnd cinnamon
- 1 tsp Grnd cloves
- 1 tsp Grnd ginger Candied cherry halves

Brown Sugar Spice Cookies
Servings: 8
Directions
- PReheat oven to 375F.
- Cream butter; beat in sugar. Add in egg and vanilla; beat well.
- Combine flour, baking pwdr, cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Add in to butter mix, blending well.
- Using a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip, pipe stars onto ungreased cookie sheets. Top each with a candied cherry half.
- Bake 8-10 min. Dough may be rolled into 1" balls. Top with cherry and bake as directed.
