Baked Egg Dish For Brunch

Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread (remove crusts)
  • 2 (6 ounce) packages. shredded cheese
  • 1/2 pound minced fried crisp bacon
  • 1 dozen large eggs
  • 1 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Grease a 9"x13" pan (use bacon drippings). Don't use butter. Lay slices of bread on bottom of pan. (Cut bread slices into halves.) Sprinkle with cheese and bacon. Beat large eggs, lowfat milk, salt and pepper. Pour over bread. Chill overnight. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees. Serves 6.
