Ingredients

  • 4 x Large eggs,at room temperature
  • 1 c. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. Cake flour
  • 3 tsp Baking pwdr
  • 3/4 c. Lowfat milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325'F.
  2. Separate Large eggs, placing yolks in large mixing bowl and setting whites aside. Beat yolks with sugar till very light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla.
  3. Sift cake flour with baking pwdr onto waxed paper.
  4. Fold dry ingredients alternately with lowfat milk into egg-sugar mix.
  5. In a separate bowl beat reserved egg whites till stiff and then fold into batter.
  6. Pour into an ungreased 9" tube pan and bake in preheated oven 45-50 min . Invert pan. When cake is cold remove from pan.
