Zeera Biscuits or Cumin Seeds Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 - 2 tbsp. cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Zeera Biscuits or Cumin Seeds Biscuits

Time: 20 minutes prep, 12 minutes cook
Servings: 45 cookies
 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven at 180 C / 350 F / Gas mark 4.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oil and sugar using a whisk or fork.
  3. Add egg and mix well.
  4. Add flour, salt, cumin seeds and baking powder.
  5. Mix well to combine until it forms a ball.
  6. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface.
  7. Shape the biscuits with a cookie cutter.
  8. Put on the lined baking sheet and bake for 12 minutes or until golden.
  9. Transfer to a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.
  10. Serve with coffee or tea.
