As you’ll see, the cake batter comes together very quickly.  This is a recipe where you really need to have all the ingredients measured out for the cake batter before you get started.  You’ll also want to have a rimmed cookie sheet greased and ready for the cake batter.White Texas Sheet Cake Batter Ingredients:1 cup butter cubed1 cup water2 cups all purpose flour2 cups white sugar2 eggs, beaten1/2 cup sour cream1 Teaspoon salt1 Teaspoon baking powder1/4 Teaspoon baking soda1 Teaspoon vanilla extract  The recipe starts with a saucepan.  Place one cup cubed butter and one cup of water into a large saucepan over medium heat. As soon as the butter has melted and the mixture comes to a boil, take it off the heat. Immediately stir in the flour, sugar, eggs, sour cream, salt, baking powder, vanilla extract and baking soda.Stir the ingredients together until you have a smooth batter.Place the batter into a greased rimmed cookie sheet and spread it to the edges of the pan. Bake the cake at 375 degrees for 18 – 22 minutes. The cake will be golden brown on top.  Your not going to let the cake cool down completely. It will only cool down long enough for you to make the frosting. Which we’re going to do now. Once again, being prepared and having all the ingredients measured out ahead of time for the frosting recipe is going to be a big help.White Texas Sheet Cake Frosting ingredients:1/2 cup butter, cubed1/4 cup milk4 1/2 cups confectioners sugar1/2 Teaspoon vanilla extract1 cup chopped almonds Using a large saucepan, heat the butter and milk together over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Remove it from the heat.Immediately stir in the confectioners sugar and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.Stir in the almonds and spread the frosting over the cake, which should still be very warm.Because you frost the cake while it’s still very warm (it might even be hot) you get this wonderful creaminess where the cake and the frosting meet and melt into each other.  It delightful!  This is a delicious, creamy, moist cake with a nice crunch to it from the almonds.White Texas Sheet Cake, easy to make and perfect for feeding a crowd.  An easy quick to put together cake recipe to make and bake anytime of the year you have something to celebrate.PIN IT FOR LATERLooking For More Delicious Recipes From Bunny’s Warm Oven, Try These!Homemade Chocolate Frosting…Lime Pineapple Fluff…Delicious Fresh Peach Fritters…Banana Chocolate Chip Cake...Strawberry Cobbler 5 from 1 vote PrintWhite Texas Sheet CakeThis is a delicious, creamy, moist cake with a nice crunch to it because of the almonds.  And let's not forget that it will feed a nice bunch of people!!  ENJOY!
