West Texas BBQ Sauce Recipe
General purpose sauce for grilled and smoked foods.
Ingredients
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 2 tbs. yellow mustard
- 2 tbs. Worcestershire
- 1 tbs. each: soy sauce, onion powder, chili powder, hickory smoke
- 1/2 tbs. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. instant coffee, or 1/3 cup brewed
- 1/2 tsp. each: salt and pepper
- Tabasco to taste
Directions
- Put all the ingredients in a saucepot and simmer 30 minutes.
- Will keep in the fridge 2-3 weeks.
