Vegetarian Beet Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp finely grated raw beet
  • 1/2 cup cooked oats (quick or regular rolled oats)
  • 1 cup uncooked oats (quick or regular rolled oats)
  • 1/2 cup walnuts (coarsely grounded)
  • 1/4 cup almonds (coarsely grounded)
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp Vegix seasoning or instant vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup green pepper, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely minced
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp ground sage
  • 1/4 stp mustard powder
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast flakes (optional)
  • 1 egg (beaten)

Vegetarian Beet Burger

Time: 10 minutes prep, 8 minutes cook

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together well. Form into patties and grill until cooked. Serve on burger buns with tomato slices and your favourite condiments. Enjoy!
