Ingredients

  • 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn mixed vegetables
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. salad oil
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. finely minced green pepper
  • 2 tbsp. finely minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seed
  • Several dashes of red warm sauce
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 6 sm. lettuce leaves

Directions

  1. In saucepan cook frzn vegetables according to package (no salt). Drain. In bowl combine vinegar, oil, sugar, green pepper, onion, celery seed, mustard seed nd warm pepper sauce. Mix well. Add in cooked vegetables. Cover and chill, cook pasta shells according to package (no salt). Drain and chill.
  2. Drain off chilled vegetables and spoon into shells, arrange 2 shells per lettuce leaf per serving. Serves 6.
