Vegan chocolate chip cookie bars Recipe

Ingredients

• My "health-nut-ified" cookie bars:
• 3/4 cup + 2 Tbsp white whole wheat flour
• 1/2 cup ground oats (grind 1/2 cup oats in a blender or food processor)
• 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 2 Tbsp canola oil
• 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1/4 cup real maple syrup
• 1/4 brown sugar, packed
• 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 Tbsp non-dairy milk
• 1 Tbsp ground flax or chia seeds
• 1/2 cup semi-sweet (vegan) chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
