%20and%20so%20little%20is%20needed%20that%20a%20single%20pomegranate%20goes%20a%20longs%20ways.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20do%20purchase%20one%20(trust%20me,%20they%20are%20much%20less%20intimidating%20than%20they%20seem!),%20definitely%20read%20some%20instructions%20on%20how%20to%20cut%20them%20open%20%E2%80%93%20it%20will%20make%20your%20life%20easier%20trust%20me.%20I%20couldn%E2%80%99t%20find%20the%20instructions%20I%20used%20again%20(lost%20in%20the%20internet%20somewhere!)%20but%20here%20is%20Elise%E2%80%99s%20over%20at%20Simply%20Recipes.%20%20I%20actually%20deseeded%20them%20in%20the%20bowl%20of%20water,%20which%20kept%20me%20from%20getting%20squirted%20with%20any%20of%20the%20bright%20red%20juice%20(yes,%20no%20stained%20clothes!).%20I%20noticed%20Elise%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20do%20this,%20but%20I%20recommend%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20first%20pomegranate%20seed%20dish%20wasn%E2%80%99t%20adventurous%20to%20say%20the%20least,%20but%20it%20was%20delicious.%20I%20actually%20threw%20the%20seeds%20right%20into%20my%20blender%20%E2%80%93%20it%20isn%E2%80%99t%20a%20powerful%20one,%20so%20I%20was%20left%20with%20very%20crunchy%20seeds%20in%20my%20smoothie,%20which%20I%20liked%20but%20want%20to%20warn%20you%20about%20%E2%80%93%20with%20my%20simple%20favorite%20breakfast%20blend,%20a%20banana%20smoothie/shake.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20like%20your%20smoothies%20drinkable%20rather%20than%20spoonable%20(I%20like%20them%20thick!)%20then%20I%20recommend%20using%20pomegranate%20juice%20(bottled,%20or%20squeezed%20from%20your%20little%20seeds),%20so%20that%20you%20don%E2%80%99t%20end%20up%20with%20crunch%20little%20seeds.%20Maybe%20you%20Vitamix%20people%20can%20pulverize%20the%20seeds,%20but%20my%20$15%20hamilton%20beach%20can%E2%80%99t!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEither%20way,%20the%20seeds%20taste%20very%20similar%20to%20sweetened%20cranberry%20juice%20to%20my%20taste%20buds,%20and%20make%20a%20perfect%20addition%20to%20the%20ordinary%20breakfast%20smoothie%20for%20a%20sweet%20(yet%20unsweetened)%20treat%20that%20goes%20down%20easy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EBlend%20the%201/4%20cup%20of%20pomegranate%20seeds%20or%20juice%20and%20all%20remaining%20ingredients%20in%20your%20blender%20until%20nice%20and%20smooth.%20I%20use%20a%20lesser%20amount%20of%20milk%20alternative%20for%20a%20thick%20spoonable%20shake-style%20smoothie,%20but%20you%20can%20add%20more.%20Just%20note%20that%20those%20uber-crunch%20seeds%20may%20not%20fully%20blend!%20Top%20with%20some%20additional%20seeds%20for%20taste%20and%20asthetics.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EYields%201%20easy-on-the-early-morning-tummy%20breakfast%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
