Thanksgiving/Cheistmas Turkey

this recipe is from my wonderful sister-in-law, Margaret Ann Lofton.

Ingredients

  • 1 turkey
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup molasses
  • Vegetable oil
  • Water

Directions

  1. Rub turkey with vegetable oil and put into a large/deep pot.
  2. Cover turkey with water
  3. Add 1 cup whiskey & 1 cup molasses
  4. Soak in refrigerator for 3 days
  5. Remove turkey from soaking ingredients to a large turkey baking
  6. pan
  7. Bake uncovered according to directions per pound on the turkey
  8. wrapping & at temp suggested.
