Sweet Carrot Milk ( Gajar Ki Kheer )

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. ghee
  • 150 gm carrots grated
  • 900 ml lowfat milk
  • 5 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. cashew nuts
  • 1 tsp cardamam pwdr

Sweet Carrot Milk ( Gajar Ki Kheer )

Servings: 4
 

Directions

  1. Heat the ghee in a heavy pan and add in the carrots.
  2. Fry them well scraping up any bits which stick to the bottom of the pan.
  3. When they are translucent/soft add in the lowfat milk sugar and cashew nuts and bring to the boil.
  4. Reduce the heat and simmer till the mix thickens slightly (about 15 min).
  5. Take off the heat and add in the cardamom pwdr.
  6. Serve cool.
  7. The first of these recipes is either a drink or possibly a dessert that uses cashew nuts for their texture
  8. Serves 4
