Summer Sausage (Smoky)

Ingredients

  • 2 pound hamburger
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 1/2 T curing salt
  • 2 T Wright's hickory liquid smoke
  • 1 T whole mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon (each) garlic pwdr, onion pwdr, pepper
  • Healthy pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Put together ingredients; divide in 4 equal parts in long thin rolls; wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 24 hrs. Unwrap and place on broiler pan. Bake uncovered in 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 hrs. Cool, then chill till served.
