Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 tsp. cumin seeds
  • 5 cloves
  • 2 black cardamoms
  • 10 peppercorns
  • 1 tbsp. ginger & garlic paste
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. MSG
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 kg. beef, mutton or chicken
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped

Time: 10 minutes prep, 1 hours cook
Servings: 5
 

Directions

  1. Brown onions in hot oil.
  2. Add cumin, cloves, cardamoms and peppercorns. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add ginger and garlic. Saute for 1 minute. Season with salt, MSG and chili powder.
  4. Mix meat, water, tomatoes and onions. Cover and pressure cook for 30 minutes or until meat is tender and sauce thickens.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
