This time of year I really appreciate recipes that don’t require cutting on the oven. This recipe combines two of my favorites: peanut butter and chocolate. I used banana essence in lieu of the vanilla essence since we love the peanut butter-banana combination.

Directions

  1. Boil the syrup and sugar together in a medium/large pot.
  2. As soon as it comes to a boil remove and stir in peanut butter.
  3. Add vanilla and cereal. Stir well.
  4. Blend in mini chocolate chips. Stir just a little so they don’t completely blend.
  5. Spread into a greased 9×11 pan.
  6. Refrigerate until firm.
  7. Cut into 24 pieces.
