Spaghetti and Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (32 oz) Prego Traditional Spaghetti Sauce or spaghetti sauce of your choice
  • 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1/3 c Progresso Italian Style Bread crumbs or bread crumbs of your choice
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 c finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 c grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 c chopped red or green pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/8 t pepper
  • 2 T oil
  • Shape mixture into1 inch balls. About 24 balls

1 pkg. Spaghetti noodles cooked and drained.

Parmesan cheese

In large bowl mix together, 1/4 c spaghetti sauce, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, parmesan cheese, red or green pepper, garlic and pepper.

Shape mixture into1 inch balls. About 24 balls

In a large skillet over medium heat, in hot oil, brown meatballs until well browned. Spoon off fat. Add rest of Prego spaghetti sauce; reduce heat to low: Cover and simmer 20 mins or until meatballs are done

Meanwhile prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Drain

Arrange hot cooked spaghetti on platter. Pour meatballs and sauce over spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Serve with garlic bread.
