SIMPLE BREAD DELIGHT

this dessert is made in almost all Indian homes during summer.It is a simple dish and a very easy one to make.you can even add some fresh fruits chopped finely.You can make this with plain vanilla sponge cake too.

Ingredients

  • 12 Bread pieces,sides cut
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • little less than 1/4 cup of coarsely crushed cashews,almonds,pistachio and raisins mixed together
  • unsalted butter-2 tbsp

Directions

  1. first cut the bread slices into triangles and then butter both the sides and toast till crisp
  2. In a pan,heat the milk and let it simmer,add the essence.Then take of heat and let it cool.
  3. Fry the dry fuits and nuts in a little bit butter till golden.drain on a kitchen towel.
  4. I a deep rectangle dish,place al the bread triangles and then pour the simmered and cooled condensed milk till it covers all the slices well and fully.
  5. Sprinkle the fried fruits and nuts all over and keep it in the fridge to cool it.Serve it after lunch or dinner as dessert.
