Ingredients

  • 1 lg. round steak, 1 inch thick
  • 1/3 c. flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 env. dry onion soup
  • Water
  • butter

Round Steak With Gravy

Directions

  1. Cut steak into large pcs. Lb. with side of small saucer to make thinner. Dredge with flour and salt and pepper. Heat butter in large frying pan. Place steak in and brown on both sides for about 15 min. Cover with water and sprinkle onion soup mix on top. Turn down heat and cover. Cook till tender, about 30 min, adding water, if necessary. Serve with gravy over mashed potatoes.
