Red Devil's Food Cake (World War Iirecipe) Recipe

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar or possibly syrup
- 2 large eggs
- 1 7/8 c. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 T cocoa
- 1 T warm water or possibly coffee
- 1 teaspoon red coloring
- 1 c. sour lowfat milk or possibly buttermilk (or possibly 1/2 c. lowfat milk if syrup is used)
Directions
- Beat sugar and shortening. Add in 1/2 cup flour. Add in large eggs, cocoa mix and flour and soda with sour lowfat milk. Bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 min.
