Recipe of the Week – Tempura Shrimp

Cooking sometimes takes a strange turn; what is old becomes new again. My grandson has taken a liking to tempura shrimp, we have been buying them at the local Fresh Market as appetizers when he and his family come for dinner. I decided this time to make them. Many, many years ago tempura everything was the go to appetizer for dinner parties. Simple and not too expensive, we used to do veggies, shrimp, basically anything in the frig in the tempura batter, add a dipping sauce and there you have it.

So if you have a beer to “waste” and some flour, dip away.
