Ingredients
- 5 lbs spare rib
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 large ginger root crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c soy sauce
- 1 c catsup
- 1/3 c oyster sauce

Pupu-style Spareribs
Time: 2 hours prep, 20 minutes cook

Directions
- cut spareribs down to 2 inch pieces
- in large saucepot combine ribs, garlic, ginger, and salt.
- add water to cover ribs, bring to boil and then lower heat
- simmer ribs 1 to 1 1/2 hours
- drain
- combine remaining ingredients and marinate ribs overnight in refrigerator
