Ingredients

  • Pumpkin Bread Pudding (slightly adapted from Epicurious)
  • 1 cup heavy cream ( half and half works well too)
  • 3/4 cup canned solid pack pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (I use 2%)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs, plus 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice
  • pinch of ground cloves
  • 5 cups cubed day old baguette or crusty bread ( I use 4 cups to get more custard)
  • 3/4 cup melted butter (6 tablespoons)
