Pork with Apples, Sage and Onions, Slow Cooker
Total time: 7 hours Ingredients:
2 boneless pork chops, about 1″ thick, cut in half
1 onion, chopped
1 rib celery, chopped
1 apple, peeled, chopped
6 – 8 sage leaves, torn in half
1 cup (8oz, 250ml) cider
1/2 chicken stock cube, or equivalent in granules / jelly
2 tbs tapioca
Instructions:
Put onions, celery, apple, sage in the slow cooker.
Sprinkle with tapioca and stock cube
Top with chops in a single layer.
Pour cider over.
Cover and cook, low heat, for 3 hours.
Uncover, quickly give it a stir and turn the chops.
Cover and cook for 3 1/2 hours.
