Plum Chutney

Ingredients

  • 6 medium sized plums
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon chilli powder(optional)
  • 1 teaspoon of oil

Plum Chutney

Time: 10 minutes prep, 10 minutes cook
 
 

Directions

  1. Cut plums in small piece
  2. Heat oil in cooking pan
  3. Add cumin seeds, sesame seeds and poppy seeds to the oil
  4. Add cut plums to the oil and cover it with lid until the pieces convert into paste
  5. Add sugar and salt to it.

    Wow, if I can find some real plums down here, I must try this recipe. I'm a huge fan of plum preserves and this sounds like a wonderful variation!
