Pita Bread With Lamb And Greek Yoghurt

Ingredients

  • 4 pita breads
  • ½ lb (200 g) roast lamb or possibly veal
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 lettuce heart
  • 1 large white onion
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 sheep’s lowfat milk yoghurts
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
  • Sarawak white pepper
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds or possibly poppy seeds

Directions

  1. Wash and drain the vegetables
  2. Finely slice the lettuce heart and zucchini
  3. Cut the tomatoes into slices
  4. Peel and finely chop the onion
  5. Peel and chop the garlic
  6. Cut the meat into thin strips
  7. Mix the yoghurts with the garlic, salt and pepper and put them in the refrigerator
  8. Split each pita ¾ way through lengthwise
  9. Fill each pita with the vegetables and the meat, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and lowfat yoghurt mixed with garlic, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
