Directions

  1. Combine shortening, salt and vanilla using high speed of electric mixer. Add in sugar gradually and cream well. Reset mixer to low speed. Add in egg and mix well, then the flour and baking pwdr that has been sifted together, alternately with the pineapple. Mix well after each addition. Add in rolled oats and nuts slowly, mixing them in well.
  2. Drop from a Tbsp. onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15- 18 min.
