Directions

  1. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
  2. Sift the flour mixture and set aside.
  3. Separate the egg yolk from the whites, beat the yolks in a bowl.
  4. Add the milk in the egg mixture.
  5. Pour in the sifted flour into the egg mixture and fold them together.
  6. Knead and mix until everything blends well.
  7. Get a portion of the dough and shape it into a long log (pretzel thickness) and cut into 6-inches each.
  8. Heat a deep fry-pot with oil.
  9. Twist each piece and drop onto the hot oil to deep fry.
  10. It will take a few minutes till it becomes golden brown.
  11. Cool each piece on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
  12. Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if desired or dip in the maple syrup and serve hot.

      hi,
      Sorry for the late reply, I have tried to use the yolk since it tends to make it tender and bit fluffy, but using the entire egg is just fine too. Hope this helped. :)
