pickled orka Recipe
My neighbor gave me this recipe .I've already did this several times it is very easy I never canned anything or pickled anything .it was great .I took some to work the girls I work with ate it up and said this is way better than store bought can you bring more
Ingredients
- 3 pounds okra washed
- 1 to 2 garlic cloves
- Mixed pickling spice
- 1 quart white vinegar
- 1 quart water
- 1/2 cup canning salt
Directions
- Place first 4 ingredients in your jar I pack
- The okra in where it is tight if you don't put
- Enough okra in the jar when the process is done all the okra will float up and it won't look like very many is in the jar.
- Heat liquids and salt to a boil then pour into each jar I use a soup ladle fill jars to one inch head space and put on your flats and rings and set in a hot water bath and boil for five minutes take out and let cool on cooling you will hear popping sounds this means they are sealing
