Peda Bread From Noah Armenian Flatbread Recipe

Ingredients

  •     Not to be confused with Middle Eastern Pita Bread or possibly Armenian cracker bread!
  • 5 1/2 c. flour [sifted]
  • 3 Tbsp. Crisco(r)
  • 2 c. hot water
  • 2 pkt dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 c. sesame seeds

Directions

  1. O In a large mixing bowl add in hot water and dissolve yeast. Add in sugar, salt and Crisco(r). Gradually add in flour and mix well. Cover dough and let rise till double it's size. Divide dough into four parts. Spray 4 pie tins with Pam(r)
  2. spray. With hands lubricated with oil, spread dough out proportionately in each pan.
  3. Cover each pan and let dough rise again.
  4. oNow make a wash with 1 Tbsp. flour and 1/3 c. water and brush the tops with the wash. Sprinkle each with sesame seeds and then bake for 20 min
  5. In a 450 degree oven or possibly till a dark golden.
