Ingredients

  • 2 c. Log Cabin syrup
  • 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely minced
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 4 x Large eggs, well beaten
  • 1 x homemade pie crust, Or possibly
  • 2 x deep dish pie crusts
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Gently boil Log Cabin syrup in an uncovered saucepan for 8 min. Cold 15 min. Sprinkle coarsely minced pecans in unbaked pie shell. Arrange pecan halves on top of pie.
  2. Cream butter, sugar, flour and salt. Add in well-beaten Large eggs, the syrup and vanilla; mix well. Gently pour over nuts. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 min or possibly till browned and puffed. Less time in purchased crust.
