Ingredients

  • Cauliflower florets – 1 1/2 or 1.5 cups (one and a half cups)
  • Green peas – 3/4 cup
  • Medium sized potatoes – 3
  • French beans – 1/2 cup (optional)
  • Large onions – 2 (chopped finely)
  • Large tomatoes – 4 (chopped finely)
  • 1 medium sized green capsicum (chopped finely)
  • Pav bhaji masala – 3 tablespoons
  • Red chilli powder – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Butter – 4 tablespoons
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
  • One lemon
  • Salt as required
  • FOR WET GRINDING
  • Garlic cloves – 6 to 7
  • Ginger piece – 1 inch small sized
  • Red chillies – 4 (preferably whole dry kashmiri red chillies or deseeded red chillies – it gives a good colour to the bhaji)
  • FOR THE PAVS OR INDIAN BREAD
  • 16 pavs
  • Butter for frying the bread
