This recipe can be messy and can get intoxicating cleaning up the mess! Be creative! I made some Pumpkin Cheesecake Pudding Shots by substituting Pumpkin Cream Liquor for the Baileys and Captain Morgan for the Irish Whiskey.

Balaw-Balaw (Fermented Rice and Shrimp)

Balaw-Balaw (Fermented Rice and Shrimp) by ShaleeDP

This is a native Filipino recipe made from fermented rice and shrimp. It is like a dipping sauce or simply a side dish. I have not actuallymade it myself but I like eating it. My grandmother is still the best doing this.

St. Patrick's Day Beef Stew with Guinness

St. Patrick's Day Beef Stew with Guinness by John Spottiswood

This is a great Beef Stew adapted from a recipe by Margaret Johnson. We doubled the recipe, used about half the butter, and added plenty of salt and black pepper. We also cooked it about 5 hours ahead of time and let it sit in the pot for another 3 hours after it was done cooking. It was awesome.

Southern Low Country Braised Pig's Feet by Smokinhotchef

This recipe sings low country with high notes. A very significant part of African American heritage and culture. Pig's feet, along with the other 'undesirable' discarded parts, like ears and chittlins' were a staple in the slaves' diets as well as pinto beans and cornbread, also their personal vegetable gardens. This was sustainable…

Irish Stew for a Crowd

Irish Stew for a Crowd by K. Garner

If you aren't particular about a sear on the outside of the pieces, then proceed as directed. -Salt isn't an ingredient, but you must add it, to your liking. Credit goes to the Nesco 18-Qt. Roaster…

My grandma used to make this every year during our town Fiesta. She adds a few strips of Langka (Jackfruit) on every sweets she cooks. Nothing compares to her cooking.

Vanilla cupcakes

Vanilla cupcakes by Aspen Lee-Moulden

I've tried a lot of white cupcake recipes. Many turn out too flat or dry. I came across this one on a blog site and it's really good. It looks like an adaptation of the Magnolia bakery recipe but I'm not sure. Either way, it's good!
