OLD FASHIONED BOLOGNA SALAD

Recipe Summary & Steps

Old fashioned bologna salad is easy and delicious. Old fashioned bologna salad is a classic that has been around for years.  It makes great sandwiches and we love it on saltine crackers.  Don’t knock this salad until you have tried it because it will surprise you at how good it is.  If you like bologna, you will probably like this recipe.  It is very versatile in that you can add or subtract ingredients you like or don’t like and it’s still good.  I am posting the recipe the way I make it for my family and how it was made years ago. Give this old fashioned bologna salad a try and make it for your family. 1 pound of your favorite bologna (Can be a 1 lb. chunk or a package of sliced bologna) 1/3 to 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish 4 boiled eggs, peeled and chopped 1/2 cup salad dressing or mayonnaise 1/4 teaspoon black pepper salt to taste, optional Chop the bologna in very small pieces or you can use a grinder or a food processor.  We like it chopped in small pieces.  Add the pickle relish, eggs, mayonnaise or salad dressing and black pepper.  Mix well with a spoon.  I think this is best after being being refrigerated overnight but you don’t have to wait. Makes about 4 cups.  Enjoy! Print Recipe Old Fashioned Bologna Salad This classic recipe has been around for years.
