Half & Half Whole Wheat Bread (Machine or Hand-made) by Salad FoodieWell it's NEARLY half and half (whole wheat flour and white bread flour.) This makes a 2-pound loaf of bread though you can bake it in two 1-pound loaf pans and freeze one..or smaller pans as you wish. At high altitudes, decrease yeast a little (1/2 teaspoon) and increase water (1 to 2 tablespoons.) |

Ham, Peas & Pasta Salad by Salad FoodieA nice choice for a summer cookout or picnic, this pasta salad can be made up to a day ahead for convenience. My pasta choice for this is ditalini, a small pasta often used in soups (this can be hard to locate but Barilla sells a one pound box.) Or substitute your own small pasta FAV such as elbows or shells. |

We had no choice but to say “See you tomorrow, come hungry!” Everyone was happily stuffed and knew they were eating a cheese burger. They may be back again tomorrow. Not only was there 2… |
