  • 10 slices Egg Bread
  • Nutella evenly spread
  • Mix Nutella with Cream Cheese if desired
  • Custard:
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ¼ cup confectioners sugar
  • ½ cup maple syrup

Directions

  1. Make custard and whisk together until somewhat frothy and set aside.
  2. Butter a 9x13 baking dish and pour maple syrup on bottom.
  3. Make 5 Nutella sandwiches with the Egg Bread. Cut into 4 pieces diagonally. Soak each quarter sandwich in custard for 1 to 2 minutes, flipping over to coat evenly and transfer to prepared baking dish.
  4. Once all sandwiches have been placed into baking dish, pour the rest of the custard over the top, dot the top with butter and let sit for 30 minutes to allow the moisture to really soak into the bread.
  5. Bake at 365 for 30-35 minutes. French toast should be golden brown on top and cooked through.
